Billy Ray Wilson, Sr., 78 of Port Lavaca passed away June 26, 2016. He was born September 18, 1937 in Victoria, TX to the late Charles and Ethel King Wilson. He was a retired plumber having worked for Victoria and Young Plumbing and was a Catholic. Bill also served in the National Guard for 20 years.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Yanta Wilson of Port Lavaca; sons, Billy Ray Wilson Jr. and wife, Monica of Katy, Dennis Buehring and wife, Cathy of Port Lavaca; sister, Martha Davis of Edna; brothers, Don Wilson of Conroe and Rawley Wilson of Victoria; mother-in-law, Susie Lee Yanta of Karnes City; grandchildren, Heather Peck, Bryan Buehring, Travis Buehring and Jenna Blair Buehring, and Chris Wall, and 4 great-grandchildren, Jenna Peck, Charlotte Peck, Ashlyn Mendoza and Savannah Wall.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Wanda, and brothers, Bobby and Frankie.
A time of visitation will be held Tuesday, June 28, 2016 from 5-7 p.m. with a rosary to follow at 7 p.m. at Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Gardens.
Pallbearers are John Bellah, Arthur Ray Yanta, Don Roy Yanta, Jody Brett, Clay Brett, Kirby Albrecht and David Garcia.
