Amalia (Molly) Machacek

Olivia - Amalia (Molly) Machacek 82 of Olivia passed away May 23, 2015. She was born November 15, 1932 in Cheapside, TX to the late Antonio and Lillie Carrington Mendez. Molly was a retired Activity Director for the Port Lavaca Nursing and Rehab. She volunteered many years at the Senior Citizens Outpost and was a very active participant in the Senior Citizens Center. Molly was a member of Our Lady of The Gulf Catholic Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Darlene Tresselt and husband Charlie; son, Chuck Machacek and wife Terri; sister, Mary Gutierrez; brother, Ben Mendez; 4 grandchildren, Katy Tresselt Kersbergen, Erin Tresselt, Kristen Machacek, and Charly Nicole Machacek.

In addition to her parents, Molly was preceded in death by her husband August J. Machacek; sisters, Adelaida (LaLa) Rodriguez, Ester Martinez, Guadalupe (Lupe) Rocha; and her brother, Librado Mendez.

A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 from 5 to 7 pm with a Rosary to be recited at 7 pm at the Richardson Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held at 1 pm on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at Our Lady of The Gulf Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Olivia Cemetery.
