We actually teared up when we heard the terrible news. 
Lynn I (Joe) just spoke to you and Billy recently and I (Joe) have great memories for our Wednesday's get together playing pool in your house. Lynn, Billy loved you with all his heart. He often would tell me how much you mean to him. We will miss you.

I’m at a loss for words, Billy.  You were such a good friend to my brother.  Always there for him.  I always knew that whenever  I came back to NY that I would get to see you every afternoon after you got off from work to pop open a few cold ones at Jimmy’s house.   One of my brother’s good friends who will be truly missed.  RIP, Billy.

I cannot believe I am even writing this, Billy.  I am shattered to learn of your passing.  Although we hadn't talked in a few years, I always had you and Lynn in my thoughts.  We had so many good, deep belly, "can't catch your breath" laughs.  
My casino buddy when we were in PA.  I hope you win at the big casino in the sky.
If anyone ever asked me to describe you in one word, I would say "loyal".  You stood loyal to your friends.  You are one of the good guys.  And you will be deeply missed.

We are heartbroken over this and are still in shock.  We shared some great times and made fantastic memories together.  Billy was one of a kind and will be missed so very much.  He never minced words and you always knew where you stood with him, and that was one of the things we loved  most about him— so down to earth and honest.  What a great guy and father.  He often spoke about his girls and grandsons with a genuine affection.  And Lynn his love for you was always so obvious, even when you and I got under his skin and he teased us (at our home here in NC). Love you all, Diane & Mike

One of my favorite memories is our card playing polka. We played every week and our get togethers. Either Mannis, yours, or my house. I will never forget when you brought the RUP-2 Scooters and we drove in to the woods. Rest In Peace my Dear Friend 💔💔💔🙏🙏🙏
