Theresa Roselli of Middle Island, NY, passed away on August 6, 2024, at the age of 93. Born on February 14, 1931, in the Bronx, NY, Theresa was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt.
Theresa is survived by her cherished children: Ann McGovern and her husband John; Vincent and his wife Kathy; Claire Goldfarb and her husband Robert; Lisa Carbone and her husband Thomas Voelkel; and the late Irene Boden. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her eight beloved grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
Theresa was the adored sister of Claire Sparke and her husband William, and she was predeceased by her sister Rose Koch.
Theresa’s passion for life was evident in her love for animals. She found joy in caring for her dogs and cats, and she took great delight in feeding the deer and turkeys that frequented her yard. Her green thumb was evident in her flourishing plants and flowers. She also loved to read and found solace in doing puzzles. Theresa especially enjoyed the Christmas holiday, where she would spend hours making her delicious butter cookies for her family. She loved listening to music, and had a special place in her heart for the Moody Blues.
Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her, and she will be deeply missed.
A memorial and prayer service celebrating Theresa’s life will be held on Monday, August 12, 2024 from 4-7 PM at O.B. Davis Funeral Homes, 4839 Nesconset Highway, Port Jefferson Station, NY 11776. Prayer service Monday at 4:30 PM at the funeral home. Interment of ashes on Tuesday at 12:30 PM at Washington Memorial Park, 855 Canal Road, Mount Sinai, NY 11766.
