I first met Ines when the family visited Carmen in Puerto Rico. She was a young mom full of energy and I remember she showed us a nifty story during which she would fold and cut a newspaper and at the end she would unfold a cross. When we moved to NJ she welcomed us into her home and helped us to get settled sharing furniture with us. Both of them, Bill and Ines, were so gracious and kind. We will 
keep them and the family in our prayers and our hearts.

My dear friend Ines, we hadn’t been friends for a very long time but that didn’t matter. The time we spent together will always live in my mind and especially in my heart. You were one of the sweetest people to enter my life. Your smile lit up a room. I’ll miss you my sweet Ines. Rest easy. 💔🙏🏻


Mrs Diaz will forever remain in my heart.  She had such a bright spirit as I remember from when I was a much younger girl. Inez was the “friends “mom that was easy to be around and talk to.  She consoled me when I was broken hearted, down and out,  but most of all she made me laugh.  I remember her as quite the character yet so full of  innocence.  Cute story -There was a time she embarrassed my then boyfriend with nylon stocking    Once she realized he was blushing due to there presence in her hands she went with it, dangling them at him, rubbing his cheek with them, singing, and just tormented him as Michelle and I laughed until our sides hurt.  That’s how I remember her. Fun and loving, easy going .   Just an overall beautiful lady that loved her family and welcomed their friends. Blessed to have known her.   Fly high angel and be with Mr D.    Much love and respect to all of the Diaz family   My sincere condolences for your loss.  

It’s odd and beautiful sometimes how the Lord works. Sometimes he sends his special angels to us. For me, a stranger really, turned friend and then family… Ines was that for me, along with her daughter MIchelle, a dear friend. Often I would feel a strong urge to reach out and share Song or a joke. Anything to replace her pain with a smile. I for one feel like a part of her carries on with me. Now she watches over each of us. Descansa bien mi madre extra.

Ines was one of my parents best friends, she was a beloved neighbor, a second Mom to all & my sons Godmother. She was always in the middle of everything the neighborhood kids were doing. If there was a water or snowball fight Ines was in the middle of it. She bought rocks from me when I was 3. She taught me so many crafts, that I still use. She helped throw my bridal shower and cried as much as my Mom did the day I got married. I spoke to her a few months ago and we talked for hours. 
I am the woman and mother I am because of Ines and I will always be thankful. I’m sitting here looking at an angel that she made me for our 1st Christmas tree. She will always be in my heart. Michelle, Cynthia and Michael, I love you all and thank you for sharing her with me.
