Sara N. Button, age 89, of Binghamton, New York passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 30, 2023. She was predeceased by her parents, Mervin and Letha Merrill; and her son-in-law, Mark Congdon. She is survived by her children, Michael Button, Delores "Dee" Congdon, Mario Button, and Carolyn Roe; grandchildren, Tiffany, Crystal, Amanda, Carolyn, Brandon, Nickolas, Portia, Charlie, Monique, Brianne, and Venise. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren, and her dear friend, Linda Mutz.
Sara liked planting and working in her yard, and loved animals; especially her cats. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and was able to teach each of her grandchildren to play the piano.
A visitation for Sara will be held Wednesday, December 6, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango St, Port Dickinson, New York 13901, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, please consider honoring Sara with a memorial contribution to S.P.E.A.K. Cat Sanctuary, 351 Flint Rd., Binghamton, NY 13905.
