Ruth Beulah Wolford, 90, of Windsor, New York, passed away peacefully at Willow Point Nursing Home on October 7, 2015. She was born on January 15, 1925 in Stalker, PA, daughter of the late Beulah Sipple and Barton Cargin. She is predeceased by her husband, Robert "Bob" Wolford; her daughter, Janie Wolford Hadlick; grandson, Christopher Stoeckel; and step-mother, Marie Cargin. Ruth is survived by her 3 sons, Eugene Robert (Barbara) Wolford, Barton Lewis (Lyla) Wolford, and Robert Charles (Sandra) Wolford; her sister, Mary Cargin (William) Throop; 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. When her children were young, she and Bob would take a lot of weekend trips, camping at Echo Lake, or just traveling about and finding interesting things to do. She got to visit Italy when her eldest son was stationed there, and went to Canada quite a few times. Ruth worked at Automation in Windsor for many years, and then began a successful career as an Avon representative, winning many awards for her salesmanship. She always enjoyed visiting with her customers, and her customers felt the same way. Ruth was the world's best listener! Ruth was a 17 year resident of Windsor Woods Senior Housing, and a longtime member of the Ouaquaga Methodist Church, where over the years she made thousands of "scrubbies" and knitted dishcloths for the craft bazaars. She will be remembered by her friends and family as an amazing example of unconditional love, a warm and loving mother, grandmother and friend. Visiting hours will be from 10-11am on Monday, October 12, 2015 at the Ouaquaga Methodist Church. A Memorial Service will be held at 11am. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Knox Cemetery, Ouaquaga, NY at a later date.
