Russell L. Jacobs

Russell L. Jacobs, 84, passed away Thursday August 14, 2014 at his home. He was predeceased by his parents, Andrew and Isabelle Huston; and his brother, Lawrence Jacobs. He is survived by his loving wife, Marian; daughters, Robbin (Michael Harding) Jacobs-Harding, Penny (Donald) Gerst; grandchildren, Mary and Andrealee Fernald; great grandchildren, Austin and Kolten; several nieces and nephews, Virginia Huston and Evelyn Jacobs. Russell was a member of North Fenton United Methodist Church. He designed and built the Restaurant, Ice Rink, and Golf Course in Chenango Bridge and was its superintendent for over 40 years and received many awards. He was an avid fisherman and golfer. He was in the book of Who's Who. He was also a member of Masonic Lodge #177 F.& A.M., Moose Lodge 1013, and Local Teamsters Union, and member of Superintendents of the United States. A Funeral Service will be held Sunday August 17, 2014 at 3:30PM at Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home 737 Chenango St. Port Dickinson with Rev. Cynthia J. Wesinger, her pastor, officiating.
