us on December 19, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on May 14, 1968, in Binghamton NY, to Emmett Wimberly and Maretha (Hubbert) Robinson.
Randy graduated from Binghamton High School, Temple University, and Rutgers University. He spent the past 24 years working as a physical therapist and was adored by all his patients. Randy owned and operated Jelkam Physical Therapy, PLLC, named after his children. He provided services for many nursing facilities in Broome and Tioga counties, Penn-York Medical Supplies, Inc., Interim Healthcare NEPA, and Endless Mountain Health Systems, PA. Most recently, he opened a physical therapy clinic for the Binghamton Housing Authority.
Randy believed in giving back to his community. He spent many years as a youth basketball coach for the Broome County YMCA, Binghamton Boys & Girls Club, and the Binghamton City School District. He served as a board member of the Binghamton Boys & Girls Club and assisted with diversity training for the Binghamton Police Department.
Randy's greatest accomplishments are his children. He instilled in them countless life lessons including his 3 Rules of Life, "respect your mother, do what you need to do before you do what you want to do, and you must believe before you can achieve." He loved spending time with family and friends, watching sports, writing poetry, listening to music, cracking jokes, and cooking.
Randy is survived by his parents and stepmom; his wife and best friend of 21 years, Georgia; his children, Jelani, Kamilah, and Malik; and his siblings, Vashon Camber, Ezra (Kim) Jackson, Nakia (Angela) Wimberly, Deonza (Tyrone) Hillie, Demika Wimberly, Desiree Urso, and Santika (Alyssa) Wimberly.
He also leaves behind a godson and many uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews, nieces, in-laws, friends, and colleagues who loved him very much.
His wife would like to thank his brothers (friends and family) who rallied around him, supported him, and kept him smiling on a daily basis. She would also like to thank his sister-in-law, Shanise Kent, who supported his family, advocated for him, and was by his side until the end. He loved you all so much and will be with you always!
Family and friends are invited to attend his Celebration of Life on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at 11:00 AM at St. Michael’s Recreation Center, 296 Clinton Street, Binghamton, NY 13905. A private burial in the Spring Forest Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family.
