John H. “Big Bad John” Ames of Windsor, 69, passed away and was reunited with his beloved wife Kathleen G. Ames on Monday, March 26, 2018. john is survived by his children, Kathleen, Jessie, Holly, Jacqueline (Deleon) and John (Darleen), 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, nephew David Ames of Bradenton, FL and best friend James P. Randall. Big Bad John was a Honorary Lifetime Member of the Windsor Fire and Ambulance Service, he was a retiree of Hughes Training Inc., Sudbury, MA., and an Honorary Member of the NYS Sheriffs Association, finally life time member of the NRA. Big Bad John was gifted in many ways and known as “Master of all Trades”. A Celebration of his life will take place at the Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home 737 Chenango St. Port Dickinson, NY 13901 on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 1:00 pm, burial will be in the Chenango Valley Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 11:00 am until the time of service.
