Gerald H. Barber

Gerald H. Barber, 66, of Binghamton passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2014. He was predeceased by his parents, Amelia and George Barber; sisters, Bonnie, Phyllis and Virginia. He is survived by his daughters, Kimberly Rhodes, Kelly (Louis) Pittarelli, Kathleen Evans (Jamie), Brooke Barber (Rick); ten grandchildren, Michaela, Marisa, Gabriel, Audrey, Drew, Micheal, Zachary, Christian, Madalyn and Donavyn; sisters, Joyce Krasko, Dorothy Swawola; brother, George (Peggy) Barber; close friends including, Wanda Barber and MaryLou Buchler; several nieces, nephews and the Ann Seal family. Jerry was a member of the Eagles and Moose club and was employed by Academy Paving and Ann Seal for 38 years. He was kind, considerate, generous, hardworking man who put his family and friends first. His immense sense of humor brought many smiles to his family and friends. His favorite quote was "I'm quiet, bashful and shy!" The family will receive friends on Friday, November 14, 2014 from 4-7 p.m. at the Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango Street, Port Dickinson NY 13901. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Port Crane Cemetery.
