Paul La Plante has gone fishing to waters unknown. He is survived by his spouse Kim, his deeply loved sons Brendon (Chantal) and Jackson, and adored grandchildren (Brielle, Madeline, Jacob, Blair, Paxton, Reese, Hayden, Rory) and his close-knit siblings Darryl (Val), Suzanne, Dennis, Kevin (Marne) and extensive family. Paul was a master craftsman having been instrumental in forging many of the iconic buildings that make up the Vancouver skyline. These skills were rivaled only by his expertise in the culinary arts. He was a red seal chef who distinguished himself at Lake Louise, Harrison Hot Springs, and all our family kitchens. With a beer in hand, an opinion at the ready, Paul loved to play host especially in front of a grill. In tough times he was always there for those who needed him. Whether putting up a wall, helping you back up on your feet or simply a quiet truck ride. A lover of the great outdoors you could always find him in his garden or on a lake. He enjoyed what nature had to offer. He carried the knowledge of where the "best" of any could be found in the mainland and beyond, be it the best bacon in a small obscure butcher or sandwiches in Langley, he would be able to point you in the right direction. Paul had retirement on the horizon and had many big plans for travel. We wish him well on his final fishing trip. Bye-bye Pepi, we will miss you.
