It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather, Mike (Michael Joseph) Nadon. Mike passed away surrounded by his family in Vancouver, B.C. on June 16th.
He is survived by his loving wife Carolyn (nee Marchbank), 4 sons Todd (Tami), Derek (Ashley), Jeff and Joe (Nicole) and his 9 grandchildren Nicklaus, Jackson, Mckenna, Kennedy, Avrey, Jaiden, Spencer, Miller and Abby.
Mike had a distinguished career in mining contracting which took him to many different places across the globe. He and Carolyn lived in ten different cities in Canada and the US during their 55 years of marriage including Bathurst, N.B., North Bay, Ont, Vancouver, Salt Lake City and finally Goodyear, AZ. Mike loved the mining industry including the places it took him and the great people he worked with along the way.
In his younger days, Mike was active in his community as a baseball coach and later shifted his attention to many different charitable causes including the Women’s Crisis Centre, Boys & Girls Club, St. Jude’s Hospital and Make a Wish Foundation.
Mike’s love of motorcycling took him on some great adventures, having touched all 48 continental US states on his Triumph.
Mike loved his family and insured long lasting memories for his children and grandchildren through several family trips and experiences including Jamaica, Maui and Costa Rica.
He was an avid golfer and pickleball player to his final days. Mike also enjoyed music, having a wide taste in recorded music and a particular love for attending live concerts.
Mike will be sorely missed by his friends and family and will always be in our hearts.
Celebration of life events will be communicated to family and friends in the coming weeks.
