He was born on September 27, 1929 in Jersey City, New Jersey and came to Port Charlotte, Florida from there in 1989. Robert was employed at Sears, as a warehouse supervisor, retiring in 1989 after 30 years of service. He was a member of the American Legion Post # 110 and the German Club both of Port Charlotte, Florida. Robert served in the US Army, during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth of 57 years, of Port Charlotte, Florida; his daughter, Kathy Frank Bellomo of Port Charlotte, Florida; his sister Ruth Maddox of Georgia and his 2 grandsons, Jeffrey and Eric Bellomo both of Port Charlotte, Florida.
Inurnment services will be on Friday, May 8, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at Restlawm Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Contributions in his memory may be made to TideWell Hospice and Palliative Care at, 5955 Rand Blvd. Sarasota, Florida 34238
