Born on June 27,1951, in Cumberland, MD, He was the son of the late Charles B Liller and Elisabeth Holmes Liller. Andy was a graduate of Allegany High School class of 1969. After high school Andy enlisted and served his country with honor in the Navy during the Vietnam era.
After his military service, Andy became a skilled iron worker and blacksmith.
Along with Andy’s first wife Patricia Hite Liller, they were proud parents to two sons, Josh (Patti), Knoxville Tennessee and Zach (Heather), Anchorage Alaska. They instilled in them the values of work ethic, creativity, integrity, and kindness.
His brother, Steve (Kathy) Tequesta Fl., shared many memories together, along with his niece Meghan (Charlie)and nephew Steve (Megan).
Andy was fortunate to find love and partnership again with Elizabeth "Liz" Liller, to whom he was married for over 20 years. Together, they built a life filled with joy and mutual respect.
He was an accomplished Boy Scout troop leader. An avid outdoorsman enjoying fishing, hunting, and boating and just hiking and being in the woods.
Andy was an accomplished musician who could play multiple string instruments, often dazzling listeners by playing music by ear. One of Andy's hobbies was working with stained glass, a craft passed down from his father. Blacksmithing was a fulltime hobby making knives, fireplace tools and many other custom pieces.
Andy enjoyed history and participated in reenactments and annual rendezvous for many years bringing the past to life with enthusiasm and authenticity.
An avid reader, Andy's love for books was matched only by his love for sharing the stories and knowledge he gleaned from them.
Andy will be missed by family and friends. Intermittent will be in Hilcrest Cemetery Cumberland Md. A private graveside service will be at a later date.
