Myrtle "Pat" Carroll, a beacon of love and kindness, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2024, in Florida, at the age of 95. Born on February 2, 1929, in Connecticut, Pat's life was a testament to the power of gentle strength and unwavering care for her family and friends.
Pat's journey through life was shared for over 38 years with her beloved late husband, Edward Carroll, until his passing in the 1990s. Together, they built a family founded on love and mutual respect. She was a devoted mother to Colleen (Michael) Beausoleil, Ted (June) Carroll, Brian (Cathy) Carroll, Timothy (Marianne) Carroll, and Donna Carroll-Leiss. Her legacy continues through her nine cherished grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Pat was preceded in death by her son Mark Chmielowski and all five of her siblings; Stewart, Donald, Richard, Joyce, and Viola.
A homemaker by choice, Pat dedicated her life to raising her children in Connecticut, creating a warm and nurturing home. After her husband's passing, she found solace in the sunny embrace of Florida, where she continued to flourish.
Pat's interests painted a picture of a woman who cherished the simple joys of life. An avid reader of fiction novels, she found adventure and companionship within the pages of her beloved books. She was an enthusiastic swimmer, maintaining her daily swims until the remarkable age of 94. Her sharp mind was often engaged in solving puzzles and decrypting crypto quotes, earning her the affectionate title of 'Crypto quote queen.' Her melodious voice graced a chorus for many years, bringing joy to those fortunate enough to hear her sing.
Described by those who knew her as loving, kind, and gentle, Pat's presence was a comforting light that will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who were touched by her grace.
