Karen Slusar

Karen Faye Mast Slusar was born November 23rd, 1941 in Berea, OH. Karen is survived by her 5 daughters Kathy Maier, Kim Lindsey, Kelly (Paul) Kuehne and twins Kari and Kristi Slusar. Karen is preceded in death by her ever loving and devoted husband, Frank James "Jim" Slusar. Karen was known as "Nana" to Samantha (Keith) Tucker, Stephanie (Ali) Dees, Jon Maier, Kayla Maier, Alexis (Dan) McLaughlin, Johnny Marone, and Katelyn Zullo. Karen was also Great Grand Nana to Dakota and James Scott Tucker.

Karen was an avid bowler, quilter, traveler, cake decorator, puzzle enthusiast but most importantly the owner of the Port Charlotte Dairy Queen for nearly 60 years. Karen touched many lives not just only in the community but with all those she employed and served throughout the years. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm at Kays Ponger Funeral home on June 25th with a Celebration of Life at 3pm, in lieu of flowers please make donations to Children's Miracle Network, a charitable organization that was near and dear to our mother's heart.
