Joseph was born on August 27, 1960 to Joe Sr. and Adela Soliz in Port Arthur Tx. After graduating from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1978 he taught himself to play guitar and pursue a music career. Joe was always ready to use his music talents to help others by playing numerous benefits and fundraisers for anyone in need.
Joseph enjoyed driving his dump truck for LSJ Trucking company who became his extended family. We would like to give a special Thank you to "Jody's" LSJ work family for your love and support.
Joe is survived by his wife Kimberly Soliz, Brothers Roy Soliz and his girlfriend Jeanne, Lee Soliz and his wife Kathleen; sisters Gloria Aguirre and her husband Daniel, Mary Johnson and her husband Steve; nephews John Soliz, Eric Soliz and wife Kirsten, Niece Amy Isbell and husband Richard and many other nephews, nieces and cousins. Children, Justin McGaha and fiancé Ciara, Amanda Mock and husband Brian and Greg Kosik of Groves. Many cherished grandchildren Jayden and fiancé Chloe, Jasmine, Jason, Brialee, Izaiah, Easton, Kainen, Silas and Elijah; great grandchildren Sage, Ma’Leah and Branson who was PawPaw's sidekick, they loved to hear and watch PawPaw sing and play his guitar. Branson was PawPaw's little musician in the making.
Special Acknowledgement to "SMOKIN" JOE'S band members Brian Simmons, Ronnie and Chris Sanders, Carol Sanders and David Barton also many talented musicians he played with throughout the years.
Joseph was preceded in death by is parents Joe and Adela Soliz, sister in law Theresa Soliz, Nephew Justin Aguirre and Gary South Joe’s life long partner in crime!
The Family will receive friends from 1:00 - 4:00 PM Saturday, April, 1 2023 with a Celebration of Joe's Life beginning at 4:00 PM at Grammier Oberle Funeral Home.
