Shirley Mary LeBlanc Barbin, 82, formerly of Port Arthur, passed away Monday, January 02, 2012, at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont. She was born on December 2, 1929, in Breaux Bridge, La., to the late Moise and Judith LeBlanc. She was a lifelong resident of Port Arthur. Shirley could best be described as a loving wife and a devoted mother who had a great sense of humor. She loved her cats and her flower garden but her true devotion in life was her family.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Shelby LeBlanc and her husband of over 20 years, Sidney Barbin.
Shirley is survived by her daughters, Judy Talbert and her husband Vernon of Orange; Mary Wilson and her husband Jimmy of Fannett; brother Dudley LeBlanc and his wife Jewel of Orange; 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2012, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m., at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, January 4, 2011 at 10:00 a.m., at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home in Port Arthur, with entombment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves.
