Phillip Michael Plessala went to be with the Lord on January 21, 2023. He was born on the 17th of December, 1947, in Port Arthur, Texas to Eve Marie Vaughn Plessala and Carroll Joseph Plessala . He grew up in Port Arthur, Texas, and went to Lufkin State School. He lived in the Paramount Care Services in Spring, Texas.
Mike was developmentally disabled. He was a very happy man who loved Jesus. He loved listening to music and looking at books and magazines. He loved going on trips to watch farm animals. He had a love for life. He had a little job at school in Lufkin which would earn him a cup of coffee. His mother was so very proud of him for being able to perform these duties. Mike taught us things you couldn't learn anywhere else compassion, unconditional love and forgiveness. He laughed a lot. Mike loved listening to you as you spoke to him. He was loved by all his family and friends.
Mike is preceded in death by his Father, Carroll Joseph Plessala, Mother Eve Marie Plessala, Aunt Irene Breaux; brothers, Arthur Joseph Plessala and Lynn David Plessala; sisters, Peggy Dean Plessala and Cindy Marie Plessala.
He is survived by his sisters, Sylvia Ann Plessala of Beaumont, Texas, Catherine Faye Bellanger of Bridge City, Texas and Rebecca Joan LaBerge of Venice Florida; a brother, Dickie Mark Plessala of Orange, Texas and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Special thanks to the Lufkin State School - Mary Ramsey, Paramount Care Services in Spring, Texas and the staff including Jazman Herron, Syriece Horton, Porsha Eldridge and Gale Champagne, and the Heart to Heart Hospice Care Houston, Texas.
