Olan was born on January 26, 1942, in St. Martinville, Louisiana to Eva Bergeron Comeaux and Harry Comeaux. He had lived in Port Arthur for over thirty-five years and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1960. Olan moved to Orangefield in 1978 and lived there for thirty years before moving to Vidor. He was the owner and operator of Landry Cap Company in Port Arthur.
Survivors include his daughter, Kim Dodson and her husband Raymond of Vidor; son Vance Comeaux and his wife Theresa of Rockport, Texas; sisters, Nelwyn Blanchette and her husband Charles of Kingston Springs, Tennessee and Sable Losack and her husband Ralph of Huntsville, Texas; brother, Ronnie Comeaux and his wife Darlene of Broadus, Texas; six grandchildren.
A gathering of friends and family will take place from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 4, 2010, at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home in Port Arthur. A Chapel Service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 5, 2010, with Father J.C. Coon officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves, Texas.
