Michael Montondon

Michael Montondon, 69, of Port Arthur passed away Thursday, December 12, 2013 at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas. Michael was born February 8, 1944 in Port Arthur, Texas to Ernest and Gertrude Montondon.

Michael enjoyed being on the computer and loved to travel. Michael graduated from Thomas Jefferson in 1963, then he went on to serve in the Air Force for four years. He received an associate degree in Electronics from Lamar University in 1988. He worked at Texaco for 15 years as a welder and for Helena Laboratories as a bio-medical technician for 22 years.

Michael is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Gertrude Montondon. He is survived by his wife, Clo Montondon; one brother, Mark Montondon and one sister, Sandra Carson and her husband, Carl and numerous nieces and nephews.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Sunday, December 15, 2013 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 6 p.m., at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, December 16, 2013 at 11:00 a.m., at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.
