Jose was born July 22, 1965 in Nueva Rosita Coachuila, Mexico to Rosa and Juan Mendoza. He was a resident of Port Arthur for forty-nine years and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1983.
Survivors include his children, Steven Lara of Alexandria, Louisiana, Celina Mendoza of Nederland, Texas, Kyle Ardoin of Nederland, Texas; grandchildren, Delicia Mendoza, Jacelle and Fabian Chavarria, Dominic and Luciano Chavez and his ex-wife, Juanita Mendoza. Jose is also survived by a large extended family and many friends.
Jose was preceded in death by his parents Rosa Mendoza, Juan Mendoza and his brother, Jessie Mendoza.
A visitation for Jose will be held Wednesday, September 23, 2020 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home, 4841 39th St, Port Arthur, Texas 77642, followed by a "Celebration of the Life" of Jose Louis Mendoza at 7:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
