John Broussard

Johnnie, Jr. was born on January 13, 1948, in Port Arthur, Texas to Theresia Louise Adams Broussard and John Batiste Broussard, Sr. He had lived in the Port Arthur area all of his life and was a mechanic and truck driver for many years. Johnny loved to dance and was considered a jack of all trades especially as a mechanic. He was considered a “sweetheart” by all of his family and friends always there for the people who needed him.

John is survived by his sisters, Sherry Horton and her husband Glen of Beaumont, Melanie Hallmark and her husband Robert of Azle, Texas near Fort Worth and Gail Lauve and her husband Leonard of Fannett; brother, Byron J. “B.J.” Broussard of Port Acres. He is preceded in death by his parents, John B. Broussard, Sr. and Theresia Broussard LeMaire; brothers, Ronald Broussard, Kenneth Lee Broussard and Gary Broussard.

A Graveside Service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 28, 2010, at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves, Texas. A Memorial Service will follow at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday at LaBelle Baptist Church.

The family would like to thank Odyssey Hospice for all their love and support they gave to Johnnie, Jr. in his final days; we can’t thank all of you enough.
