Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Monday, December 28, 2020, at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home in Port Arthur, Texas.
Ingrid was born on December 8, 1942 in Lansberg, Germany to Horst Wendlandt and Charlotte Wendlandt.
Ingrid was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School in 1961 where she was well known as head cheerleader and Miss Port Arthur. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and was employed by St. Mary’s Pastoral Care for 20 years. She loved traveling all over the world, going to the casino, working in her flower beds, the Dallas Cowboys, Mardi Gras, and Reba McEntire. She and her daughter, Brigitte, would wait in line for hours to meet several country music stars. Ingrid loved seeing her daughter in her uniform with her K9. She was a proud, fun mom, and a sweet friend.
She was preceded in death by her parents Horst Wendlandt and Charlotte Wendlandt.
Survivors include her daughter, Brigitte Morse and wife Julie of Port Neches, Texas.
Brigitte and Julie would like to thank the nursing staff at Bonne Vie for taking such good care of Ingrid. They especially want to thank Natalee Shifflett, Kylee Gibbens, and Melissa McKey. To the numerous friends that have reached out to us and brought us food it means more than you will ever know.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.grammier-oberle.com for the Hazleton family.
