Carlos Alberto Rodriguez, at just the age of 17 touched the lives of all those he met. He left a mark in this world that no one else could ever replicate. On December 6th, 2023, at 1:10am Carlos took his final breath in the arms of his father and mother, Jose and Alicia, and siblings Andrea, Adriana, and Antonio right at his bedside surrounded with family and friends who loved him so dearly.
Carlos was born and raised in Port Arthur, TX. Being a lover of life, he was always looking for the next adventure. You could find Carlos floating in any body of water, enjoying the sun while fishing, running up and down a court playing basketball or surrounded by all his best friends sharing laughs and good times. Carlos was a devout Catholic and loved going to church and being with his peers worshiping our Lord and Savior.
It was impossible to be around Carlos and not have a smile on your face. His energy and spirit were infectious. His hugs could cure any bad day and his heart of gold, no doubt, has made this world a better place. He truly loved life, all aspects of it. He faced all adversities and challenges with such courage and dignity, making his 2-year battle with cancer look graceful. Carlos blessed us with his angelic soul here on earth and will now look over us in heaven.
A gathering of friends and family will be held at Grammier Oberle Funeral Home, Sunday, December 10, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a recitation of the rosary at 6:00 PM. A mass at ST. Charles of Borromeo Catholic church will occur Monday, December 11th, 2023, at 10:00 AM. Carlos will then be laid to rest at Greenlawn Memorial Park. A reception will follow at St. Charles Catholic church parish hall.
Our family invites you all to please join us to celebrate the life of our courageous Carlos.
