Dad was born in Vancouver and later moved to Port Alice, where he met and married Mom in 1955. They eventually moved to raise their family in Port Alberni. Dad was an active member of the Cherry Creek Fire Department for over 20 years and coached us girls on numerous ball teams. He worked for a few different companies as they moved around, but after settling into Port Alberni he worked at the M&B Pulp and Paper Mill, and later retired from the Department of Highways. Dad and Mom had a small wood craft business, Grampa's Cradle and Crafts. Dad did the cutting and Mom did the painting. They got great entertainment out of travelling to craft fairs.
The family would like to thank the nurses and drs from WCGH and NRGH and the nurses and care aides at Fir Park Village for the excellent care they gave our Dad.
Dad will be remembered and sadly missed by us all. No service will be held.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.chapelofmemories.ca for the Wright family.
