Linda Mae Kent

The heart of our family passed peacefully away to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 6, 2023 with her husband and daughter by her side. Linda loved life, was devoted to her family, specialized in hospitality, her smile, her twinkle and warm welcome made everyone feel so cared for. Where there were flowers there was Linda, she loved them!

Linda was born in Dawson City, Yukon, she moved to Edmonton with her family and there grew to love horses and a certain cowboy named Reg Kent. Reg and Linda had many adventures: living in Fort McMurray, buying a ranch and farming, building houses, managing hotels and finally settling in Port Alberni and being members of Jericho Road Church.

Linda is predeceased by her parents Ardiss and Wes Elliott and Reg's parents Lloyd and Clair Kent. Linda will be forever remembered by her husband Reg, son Kory (Sarah) Kent, daughter Jodie and husband Brad Roberts. She so loved and was proud of her grandchildren, Joshua Kent, Trinity Kent and Brooklin Kent Roberts.

Linda also leaves behind a sister Carrol (Jerry) Pruner, Brother Glen Elliott and brother Mark Elliott. Reg's sister Myrna Kent, Brother Ken Kent, Brother Joe (Sandy) Kent and numerous nieces and nephews, her many friends at Jericho Road who have become like her second family, who also brought Linda much joy.

We would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff of WCGH, VGH and to all who have supported Linda during her illness with visits, food and prayers.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Jericho Road Church, 5100 Tebo Avenue on April 29, 2023 at 1:00 pm.
