Lenore, Saskatchewan and moved with his wife Dorothy to Port Alberni in 1951. He had a remarkable career as a “ bull of the woods” ( bullbucker and logger) and later supervisor for various forestry companies before following his entrepreneurial adventures until retirement.
A true patriarch of a grateful family, Frank taught his children and grandchildren many skills and lessons in life. His family was his fortune. Frank was generous, compassionate and well loved by the community. He was an inspiration and role model to many. He had many talents to spark love and laughs as an amateur
comedian,magician,pool shark and crib master. He will be dearly missed by all.
Frank is survived by his wife of 69 years, Dorothy, sister Charlotte, children, Cheryl ( Pard) Glen ( Cindy), Lynn ( Harry) and David(Ailsa). He was so proud of his 7 grandchildren Erin, Caolan, Stephen, Alicia, Eric,
Stuart and Callum and 5 great-grandchildren Dallas, Carson, Kash, Carys and Jessica. Frank was predeceased by his parents Charlotte and Frank Sr., sister Marcella and brother Ernst.
The family is grateful for the care given by Dr. Meyer and the wonderful staff at Echo Village and West Coast General Hospital. No service at his request but family has held a private celebration of his
life.
