Dennis Francis Johnson

Dad was predeceased by his wife Beth, his parents, Max and Alice, his sons Max and Terry, and his great grandson, Max; his brothers Lawrence, Les, Cyril, Ray and Terry; and his sisters Ruth McCabe and Therese Rolston. He will always be remembered and missed by his and Beth’s children: Frank Coates, Keith (Marlene) Coates, Cam (Georgina) Coates, Patsy Robins, Bruce (Cheryl) Johnson, Bill (Patty) Coates, Steve Coates, Kelly (Rod) Cameron, Jenny (Don) McInroy, Dale (Michelle) Johnson, Grant (Deb) Coates, Ted (Tammy) Nowicki, Tim Johnson; daughters-in-law Rosa and Maggie Johnson; 39 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews, 2 brothers: Vince (Lowana) Johnson, Lloyd (Marianne) Johnson and 3 sisters: Denise (Myles) Crowley, Karen (Harvey) McKay, and Eileen (Marcel) Doucette.

Cremation has taken place. Celebration of life to be held at the Italian Hall, 4065 6th Ave., Port Alberni, BC at 2:00 pm on Thursday, May 16, 2019. Donations can be made to the SPCA in lieu of flowers.

“Pops” was a hard working man right until the end. He could fix or make almost anything. He used to love to travel with Beth in his big yellow bus that he rebuilt. He loved his Tuesday night golf and went quadding with his daughters on several occasions. His annual trip to the Ritchie Bros. auctions with his sons was a highlight along with the family reunions held in Princeton and trips to the Cayman Islands to visit his sons.
