So sorry to hear of the loss of your sister Cathy

Cathy's family and our family were really close when we were young.  Being cousions meant that we would visit them and vis versa.  12 kids in a farm house was hectic  but a lot of fun.  Then when Bill And Shirley came again 17 kids in a farm house at Christmas was CRAZY but fond  memories galore.  Our ages were close so we bonded more than other families.  We parted ways and raised our own families.  Then Facebook brought us together and the years drifted away.  Love this family and wish them the best.   She is with her lord.

Cathy will be remembered by me for her dedication and love for God, her family, and her church.  I especially remember how she so patiently and cheerfully  helped me in preparing Sunday bulletins, and assisting in whatever way she could in church life. It was an honour and  joy to have known Cathy and her parents Sam and Doreen Dame.  And while I only briefly met you John, I know you were a strength and an amazing husband to Cathy.  
To John, Doreen, and all Cathy's siblings, children, grandchildren, and great- grandchildren may the awesome love of your Heavenly Father fill you all with His peace and comfort by His Spirit through Jesus Christ.

So very sorry to hear this news. She was such a lovely soul. Accepting me with open arms and taking me under her wing when I needed someone the most.  I have many great memories with her. I will never forget our many cups of tea, her love for growing her own red potatoes,  the way she shook her fist to the beat of 106.5 PRAISE in the car, and of course her chicken and dumplings on a cold and rainy day. Sending big hugs and condolences to my eternal sisters and all of the family xoxo

It was such a surprise to hear of Cathy's passing. 

We have such fond memories of your family! Cathy, together with all her family, were so supportive of us in our younger years when we served the Lord in Port Alberni. It was always a treat to visit, have tea, and share stories together.

We know you as family will have a hole in your heart that will never quite heal. The best thing we can all do is join Cathy in her faith in looking forward to being together again one day.

Our hearts feel your grief and are praying for you so that you may find a way to somehow move forward until that day. 

John you and your family will always have a special place in our hearts. Hang in there. Cathy has left a tremendous legacy for all of you. I am sure it would be her prayer to see all her family walk in that legacy and enjoy the moments that we all  have together while there is still time

Although I am saddened by Cathy’s passing, I can rejoice over the many memories of hanging out at her home visiting with her and her children, Michelle, Tracy, Erin and Trevor. Her home was a place of safety and acceptance. Countless times we would pop by and enjoy her hospitality and friendship. In spite all of the stresses of being a single parent she was always there to support and encourage us until the wee hours of the night. So thankful we were able to reconnect in the past year and visit this past spring. Always loved and never forgotten… until we see you in heaven. Brian and Tracey Lum

We are so saddened to hear of Cathy’s passing. We had many FaceTimes with her and so enjoyed them.  Our condolences to her family. She was our cousin whom I had a lot of conversations with her and cannot believe how fast she was taken from us. She will now be with her Dad and the Lord.

I met Cathy and John when they starting to come to Southside Church. Many years ago. Cathy I miss you and will see you 1 day.

Cathy was the first friendly face that I met when I began going to the Southside Nazarene church with Gerry.  So, naturally, we asked her to be a witness when we got married there a little over 2 years later. She graciously took on this task. And our special day was made more so in part because of her. She was always kind, generous and compassionate. Oh, and the love she had for her family!! Only her love for God was greater.  Good-bye Cathy, until we meet again,

Our condolences to the family on the loss of this wonderful woman. Cathy and I started Grade one together, rode bikes and horses together, watched our children grow up together, sat thru many baseball games together.
