Anne was born in Bobcageon Ontario. She has lived in many different towns but Port Alberni has always been her home. She was an artist in every way possible. She loved painting and creating. She could make meals that would make you forget all your problems. Comfort food. She always wanted to help people. I remember cooking huge meals with her only for her to leave before we were all finished eating, to share some with her friends.. She loved gardening and spending time in the sun. She accepted people as they were with loving arms and soothing eyes. She was rare and beautiful and will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her two daughters Melissa Patton and Amy Patton. Her Brother Greg Littleton and her Mother Betty Littleton. Her late husband Tom Patton and many friends.
No service will be held for her as she preferred it that way. Please celebrate her life in your own way. Please feel free to reach out to her daughters if you need to talk or want to share memories. We are all here for each other and any story or photo or laugh is greatly appreciated.
A wonderful thing and somthing I know she would love is to give flowers or a kind gesture to someone in your community. Anyone. Make someone else smile for just a few moments. She would love to have been a part in creating happiness.
You can shed tears that she is gone
or you can smile because she has lived.
You can close your eyes and pray that she’ll come back
or you can open your eyes and see all she’s left.
Your heart can be empty because you can’t see her
or you can be full of the love you shared.
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday
or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
You can remember her and only that she’s gone
or you can cherish her memory and let it live on.
You can cry and close your mind,
be empty and turn your back
or you can do what she’d want:
smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
