Willie Garland King

Services will be at First Baptist Church, 203 S Main Street, Poplarville on Friday, May 6, 2016 at 11:00 am. Rev. Carl Myers will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Palestine Cemetery, Picayune. The family will receive friends and have visitation one hour prior to the service, Friday at the church.

Mrs. King was born September 19, 1933 in Picayune to Johnnie Benjamin Fornea and Nettie Mae Harris Fornea. She was a homemaker who enjoyed baking; and a caregiver to many. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Poplarville, singing in the choir for many years. She also enjoyed volunteering at the Pearl River County Nursing Home.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by four brothers, Shirley Fornea, Aubry Fornea, James Fornea, Paul Fornea; one sister, Betty Parker; and one daughter-in-law, Lorraine Meitzler.

Family members include her husband, Roger W. King; three sons, Marvin E. Meitzler, Jr., J. Garland Meitzler, David Richard King (Christie); one daughter, Cindy D. Krough; three grandchildren, Marvin E. Meitzler, III, Corina Krough, and David Krough.
