To the family: I am so sorry to hear about Ricky, he was always a joy to be around.

Gussie. I sent a message to you earlier but I don't see where it was posted.
Just want you to know that I am here for you if I can do snything.  This is such a loss for you.  I can't even imagine how you must feel but  we pray that God will give you the strength to get through this.
Rick was such a loving person and a lot of fun to be around.  God had a reason for taking him from you.  Just remember all of the good times you shared with him and hopefully each day will get easier for you.

Tammy, our condolences to you and your family .  Rick was always such a joy to be around.  The last time I saw him was when we had a Christmas gatherring at your mom's house.  He enjoyed that so much.  He said he had some of the best aunts in the world and wanted us to know how much he loved us.  Although his life was cut short, we can't question God's work.  We can only have faith that the Almighty will give us strength to carry on and that's my prayer for you, Gussie, Keely, Kayla and everyone else.

Dear Gussie and Tammy,I wanted yall to know how shocked and sadden i was and am about Rickys passing.You see Rick and I had a special and unique relationship.You see i was never Danny to Rick, just Buck!Rick was the brother i never had but always had! Over the years we talked more than anyone ever knew because it was just brother talk,we had a strong bond mainly due to our step-parenting connection,but it was much more than that.Me being older than Rick caused him to seek my advice when we talked and i bounced my thoughts off of him too, we cried together, alot more laughs though, you see Rick always had a way of making you feel special when you were around him.He always wanted to see me when ever i was in the area and there is nothing better than being wanted and Rick would flash that big smile and say Buck, hug me and say what in the world have you been doing and how r you and you knew he really meant it!you see being real in this world is really hard to do but Rick handled it with ease! We were real together as am sure he was with many others!we didnt get to see or talk as much during the recent years and that is a big regret! This fast paced world has a way of taking us away from the relationships that helped make us who we really are!I pray that we never fail to hug and tell our loved ones how much they really mean to us! we lost a special person in Rick and we loved him dearly just as he was, a real,big hearted,fun loving,Ricky!He was and will be always be in my heart! Gussie, I am so devasted about the death of Ricky, I loved him and I know he loved me just like I was his blood sister, not a step-sister.  He always showed me that he loved me, he was such a humble, sweet guy.  He had a big heart and sweet, friendly smile.  Even though I didn't see him often, I knew if I ever called him and needed him he would have been there.  One of my best memories of him was that he was so determined last year on my birthday to tell me happy birthday, that he made about ten calls between my house and cell before he got me. But he didn't give up.  I will always love him and miss him.  I know in my heart I was truly family to him.

Aunt Gussie, I am so very sorry to hear about Ricky.  My heart is heavy with much sadness and grief in your loss.  I know how much you loved Ricky and how close ya'll were to one another.  He was always special to me, one of those cousin's that you couldn't help but love.  He was always so sweet and kind to me over the years.  He always made me laugh, no matter what was going on at the time.  He had a heart as big as the world and would do anything for anyone.  I am praying for you in the days, months, and years ahead that you will find peace to live on this earth in it's existence as Ricky will live in eternal life with our Father the Almighty.  Ricky will be greatly missed by many people, but his memories, love, and laughter, will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.  Love You - Kim 

Tammy, my heart aches for the loss of your sweet brother.  I know how much you and Ricky loved one another.  Some of my best memories growing up, including you and Ricky in them.  The summers we spent together were so simple but yet so full of love and laughter. My heart smiles when I think back on those days. I loved Ricky too and although he will be missed, I will cherish the fond memories of him forever.  You have gained another Angel in heaven to watch over you and your family.  God's grace is sufficient and will be with you in your weakest moments.  Love you - Kim
