Michael Guy Moore

Michael was an avid gardener and enjoyed working on his property. He spent many years in the hospitality industry in New Orleans, Louisiana. "Bro. Moore" as he was known to his beloved church family at Greater Life Apostolic Church of Carriere, will be fondly remembered for his hospitality as a door greeter, his exuberant worship and his heartfelt testimonies. He will be greatly missed by all who are left to cherish his memory.

He is survived by his former wife, Carolyn Meshell Moore, stepdaughters, Renotta and Angel Meshell, granddaughter Madison Meshell, brother-in-laws Rickey and David Meshell, and many other loving family members in South Carolina.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles “Charlie” Merroll Moore and Margaret Elizabeth Cole Moore; two sisters; Merroll Moore Brown of Newberry, SC, and Vernell Moore Coggins of Laurens, SC.

Services will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Greater Life Apostolic Church, 217 Matthews Road, Carriere, MS 39426. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Services will follow at 3 p.m. with burial to take place at the church cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of White Funeral Home, Poplarville, MS.
