Alfred "Red" Barrett

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, October 2, 2017 at 11:00 am at Springhill Baptist Church, 75 Powell Rd, Lumberton, MS. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m.

Alfred Barrett was born on March 20, 1928 to Mr. David Washington Barrett and Mrs. Essie Estelle Ladner Barrett in Poplarville, MS. He was a member of Springhill Baptist Church, Lumberton, MS. He was a kind man and a loving father who liked hunting and riding horses. He was well known for always having a cowboy hat, boots and a belt on, you wouldn't see him without it!

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife Wilma S. Barrett and one brother Alton Barrett.

Mr. Barrett leaves to cherish his memories to his three children, Charla Knight and her husband Chuck, Mike Barrett and his wife Dianne, Bob Barrett and his wife Connie; two sisters, Charlene Lash and Irma Jean Kirkland, seven grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren, a host of family and friends.
