Rosie Murray

Rosie Della “MeMe” Murray, age 85, died Monday, March 11, 2013 at Sunshine Health Care in Pontotoc. She was a homemaker and was a sitter for the elderly. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren and her friends at the auction.

Services will be at 10 AM Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at Browning Funeral Home Chapel in Pontotoc with Rev. Clifton Waldron officiating with a private graveside service to follow at Friendship Cemetery. Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include her three daughters: Carolyn Hicks (Ernest) of Hurricane, MS, Pam Mizell (Melvin) of Lucedale, MS and Cindy Collums (Steve) of Pontotoc, MS; one son: Bobby Waldron; three step-sons; seven grandchildren: Justin Collums (Whitney), Haley-Rose Collums, Dustin Mizell, Lynn Burk (Christina), Janet Sykes (Eddie), Kenny Waldron (Tammy) and Catherine Elizabeth Waldron; thirteen great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and seven step grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents: William “Bill” New and Rosie Elizabeth Warren New; her husbands: James Earl Waldron and Lee Murray; a daughter: Patsy Burk; two sons: Randy Waldron and Roger Waldron; two sisters and four brothers.

Pallbearers will be: Lynn Burk, Corey Burk, David Burk, Chris Burk, Garrett Craig and Kyle Plunk.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM Tuesday and from 9 to 10 AM Wednesday at the funeral home.
