John Phillip Westfall, III, passed away on Friday, September 29, 2017 at his residence. He was a graduate of North Pontotoc High School and a Marine Veteran. He was a welder, farrier, and former member of the Longview Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed collecting arrowheads, hunting and fishing.
Services will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Browning Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Justin Haynes officiating; burial will follow in the Liberty Cemetery in Nettleton. Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Shannon Westfall of Ingomar, MS; his mother, Ann Davis of Pontotoc, MS; his father, John Phillip Westfall, Jr., of Tampa, FL and Step-Mother, Penny Scruggs; his son, Aaron Westfall of Pontotoc; two step-sons, Ryan Vandiver of Grenada, MS and Reed Vandiver of Ingomar, MS; two half-sisters, Natasha Linear (Jeffrey) of New Iberia, LA and Jessica Dieterlen (Altus) of Munford, TN; his mother-in-law, Diane Sullivan of Pontotoc, MS; father-in-law, Larry Sullivan, of Yuma, AZ; his brother-in-law, Larry Sullivan (Vonda) and daughter, Summer of Pontotoc, MS; special friend, Reese Burks and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and a long list of friends.
He was preceded in death by his Grandparents, Alfred and Margaret Davis and two uncles, Archie Davis and Larry Davis.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Vandiver, Reed Vandiver, Jacob Hardin, Sam Anzuini, Ronnie Davis and Doug Love.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM Monday and from 9 to 10 AM Tuesday at the funeral home.
