Sydney was born on January 25, 1921, in St. Ann, Jamaica, to Duncan and Catherine Fraser. He was the 4th of 8 siblings. Sydney loved the Lord and it was evident in his humble, kind, gentle, and loving disposition.
He was the business owner of a textile store for more than 30 years in Kingston, Jamaica. He migrated to the United States in the 80’s and resided in New York where he worked for the next 20 years for the City of New York. He was an active member of the Gospel Hall in New York and when he retired in 2000 and relocated to Sunrise, FL, he joined the Gospel Hall of Fort Lauderdale.
Sydney enjoyed cricket, baseball, and loved gardening. He delighted in spending time with his family and teaching others about the love of Jesus.
Sydney was preceded in death by his parents, Duncan and Catherine Fraser; his wife, Rose Fraser (nee Hussey), his youngest son, Errol Fraser; and his eight siblings – Ernest, Ethlyn, Myrtle, Simon, Joshua, Jenny, Leopold, and Harold.
He is survived by his children, Dionne (Minna), Maurice, Audley, Colleen, and Francia; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
