Suzanne is predeceased in life by her husband, William E. Brown, Sr., her son, Jason Christopher Hines, parents, Robert M. & Eleanor B. Burns, and 3 brothers - Robert M. Burns, Jr, Michael P. Burns and John Berbec Burns.
She's survived in life by her sons Michael Hines, Matthew Hines (sp. Suzette), and William E. Brown, Jr. (sp. Jamie), Stepchildren-Juliette Brown and Richard Brown. Her sisters Pauline B, Lindstrom and Marianne B. O’Connell (sp. Thomas J) and brother William H. Burns (sp. Patty); Granddaughters Holly Hines (sp. Todd) and Emily Hines; 3 great grandchildren Todd, Ryder, and Madeline Hardway. Nephews and nieces Robyn Burns Kennedy, Ryan Lindstrom (sp. Catherine), Kevin O’Connell (sp. Megan), Kelly Skoda (sp. Clint) and many grand nieces and grand nephews.
Suzanne attended grade school at St. Anthony Catholic School and High school at Ft. Lauderdale high school Ft. Lauderdale, FL. College at University of Tennessee, Knoxville, TN where she obtained her Bachelor Degree in education/teaching.
Suzanne was an elementary school teacher for 44 years with the Broward County School District. Later in life Suzanne obtained her degree in Interior Design at the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. She fulfilled her dream and resided in the mountains of Waleska, GA before relocating to FL after her husband Bill’s passing. She loved her cats, Breyers Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream, football (especially the VOLS), and game shows.
In lieu of flowers you can donate in her name to the Beyond Nine Cat Rescue or the Peggy Adam’s Animal Rescue League.
A wake will be held at Kraeer Funeral Home @ Forest Lawn Funeral Home, located at 200 West Copans Road, Pompano Beach, FL 33064, on December 16, 2024, from 4:30 pm to 8:00 pm.
A prayer service will take place at the same venue on December 17, 2024, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
The committal service will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Central, 499 NW 27th Ave, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33311, on December 17, 2024, starting at 11:30 am.
