Patricia A. Titone, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2023 at her home in Pompano Beach, FL. She and her twin sister, Marie, were born October 13,1939 to Frank and Josephine Taormina in New York, NY. She had four sisters Catherine (Kitty), Elinor, Rose and Marie. Patricia was a longtime resident of Port Washington, NY before permanently relocating to Pompano Beach, Florida.
She graduated high school from Sacred Heart Academy in West Hempstead, N.Y., and received her BS from St. John’s University in Queens, New York. She became a registered nurse at Molloy College all while raising four children.
Patricia loved playing tennis. She played tennis at the Beacon Hill courts as well as Port Washington tennis academy for many years. She continued playing tennis in Florida and was part of the Pompano beach team into her late 70’s. She also enjoyed Bridge and played at multiple bridge clubs with friends. She was a member of St Gabriel’s church in Pompano Beach, where she attended mass daily and volunteered regularly until her illness. She was very involved with St. Vincent de Paul, and was passionate about helping the homeless. Patricia helped organize the Columbiettes, John Hill Council 4955, where she was the first president of that chapter. She was a member of the Elks club in Pompano Beach where she volunteered for many years. She garnered respect in her community because of her reputation for dependability and her willingness to help those in need.
Patricia felt her biggest accomplishment were her four children Charles, Frank, Francesca & Joseph. Her 10 grandchildren, Brynn, Trey, Morgan, Lauren, Jordan, Steven, Joseph, Michelle and step-grandchildren Alessandra & Olivia. She has three great grandchildren Kai, Emrie & Graham. She loved her family and was happiest when they were all together.
Patricia had a zest for life and up until her illness was a very active and independent individual who was always on the go. Her smile and enormous personality would instantly light up a room. She encouraged her children to succeed through hard work, respect and a healthy sense of charity. We will miss her dearly.
