Mimi Visconti (nee' Lover), 88, of Coconut Creek, Florida, joined her Maker on February 13, 2017. Mimi was born in New York City on November 29, 1928. A Depression Era child and daughter of Italian immigrants, Mimi graduated from William Cullen Bryant H.S. and went on to major in Business Administration at the Delehanty Business School in NYC. In 1947, Mimi married her beloved Michael and devoted her life to rearing their two boys. Mimi was a member of the Immaculate Conception Rosary Society and was active in the Democratic Club in Astoria, New York. For many years, Mimi served as the Office Manager for CUNY Hunter College's Department of Counseling and Student Development. Mimi was the first woman president of the Italian American Club of Coconut Creek and, during her consecutive terms, championed the youth scholarship program and arranged numerous outings and dinner dances. Mimi also was a member of the St. Luke and St. Vincent Churches' Council of Catholic Women. Mimi is most fondly remembered for her entertaining at numerous Gert Weinberg Wynmoor Dance Troupe senior fundraising theatrical productions. Mimi was married for 68 years to Michael Visconti, F.D.N.Y., U.S. Navy, who passed last March. Mimi is survived by her sister Lillian, brother Anthony, sons Michael and wife Corinne, Richard and wife Janna; grandchildren Michael, Adam and wife Kelly, Katherine, Cassandra and Andrew, nephews David, Anthony Christopher, niece Gail and their families.
