Lou was very passionate about his hobbies including remote control boats, flying, muscle cars, boating & diving but his greatest love was for his family: His wife, Patty, his children, Shana (husband Mike) and Nico (wife Mary), and his 2 beautiful granddaughters – Eden & Mila.
After a long career at Eastern Airlines (Miami, La Guardia & Chicago) he switched to the marine industry (where he met Patty). His dream was to own a diner & that dream came true in 2006 when they purchased the Red Fox in Lighthouse Point. The Red Fox staff & customers have become his second family & he was there every morning at 4:30 am to have coffee with his friends.
He is survived by his sisters, Andi Tecza (Ed) from Duluth, GA & Gloriann Lombardo from Hollywood, FL; plus nieces & nephews.
A Celebration of his Life will be held in early January. The family requests NO flowers but his favorite charities are: St Jude’s Children's Hospital (he was so touched by the TV commercials) & World Central Kitchen (www.wck.org) as he thought that food would cure all.
The family would also like to thank the doctors & nurses at Boca Regional Hospital & Lynn Cancer Institute where he received such loving & attentive care for his last 19 days.
He will be greatly missed by so many, but especially his family.
