She was a happy and sincere individual.
Born Lisa Anne Ivey on January 17, 1951 in East Orange, New Jersey to parents, Dr. Henry F. and Sylvia Ivey.
Lisa graduated from Gateway Senior High School, Monroeville, PA in 1969. She completed her undergraduate degree in May, 1973 at Edinboro State College, Edinboro, PA, majoring in Elementary Education/Library Science and received her Master’s Degree from Florida State University.
Lisa belonged to Junior Hadassah, Jewish Welfare Board, and volunteered at Walter Reed Army Hospital. She also volunteered with the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.
Lisa worked at the American Automobile Association, then at the Institute for Defense Analyses in Alexandria, Virginia. She was employed by Broward County Library as a Librarian for 20 years until her retirement in 2017.
She was a Member of the Broward County Library Association, Florida Library Association, and the
American Library Association. She was a member of Temple Beth Shalom in Boca Raton and was an active member of Sisterhood, and Lifetime member of Hadassah.
She leaves her husband Stuart M. Lobel of Boca Raton, brother Steve Ivey of Philadelphia, and a handful of nephews and nieces.
