She was born in New York, New York on April 15, 1927 to the late Nathan and Eva Schildkraut. Irene was the younger sister to her two late brothers, David and Sol Schildkraut. She was loved and adored by her family who, by now, have greeted her warmly and lovingly at heaven's gate.
Irene married the late Jack Nozick in 1945. They divorced and she later married Robert Maloney, with whom she spent 25 years until his passing in December 1997.
She is survived by her three children: Irwin and Jeffrey Nozick and Sherry Carrion; her four grandchildren: Janel Carney and Michael, Susan, and Joseph Nozick; and her beloved partner of ten years, David Sokolow.
Irene loved life and was always a positive thinker. "If you will it so, so shall it be," she often quoted from Edgar Cayce. She was strikingly beautiful, strong-minded, and fiery. She believed in working hard and she worked until she was 80 years young.
She will surely and sorely be missed by the loved ones she left behind...until the end of time.
Rest peacefully, Irene, and may your soul rejoice in the Light and everlasting bliss that surrounds you now. Our time with you is ...to be continued...
