A private graveside ceremony is planned with immediate family at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery in North Lauderdale, Florida.
Dr. D’Cunha was born in Karachi, Pakistan to Lucy Castellino and Adolphus D’Cunha on March 10, 1935. Following a stellar formative schooling performance where he attended St. Patrick’s High School and graduated in first division, he received his MD from Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan. After further training in the United Kingdom, he came to the United States for his fellowship training in Cardiology. Dr. D’Cunha had an incredibly successful career as a Cardiologist in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where he raised his children and spent most of his life. He was tremendously dedicated to his patients who were the benefits of his professional talents and incredible bedside manner. His loves outside of work included his family, wildlife photography, and the Milwaukee Brewers. He was able to retire his pager and himself to South Florida.
George, Dad, Grandpa is survived by his sons Jonathan and Christopher, his daughter Caroline and her husband Keith. Grandchildren include Hannah D’Cunha, Mikayla D’Cunha, Joseph D’Cunha, Ella Hanson, and Sean Hanson. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends and forever kept in their thoughts and prayers.
