Evelyn was born on January 17, 1950, in St. Catherine, Jamaica. She spent her younger years in Jamaica always laughing, dancing, fighting her siblings’ battles, and finding love. She eventually married her childhood sweetheart and migrated to America to better her life, provide a better opportunity for her children back home in Jamaica, and they continued to grow their blended family with two more children.
Evelyn was employed at North Broward Hospital in Pompano Beach, FL and at Martin Memorial Hospital in Port Saint Lucie, FL for over 20 years where she shared her infectious personality and established lifelong friendships.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elisha Lewis and Francella Burke; Sister, Uda Burke; her son, Andrew Lee; Brother-in-law, Neville Gregory.
She is survived by her Husband, Wilbert A. Lee; Children, Garfield Lee (Florence Thomas), Ralston Oliver(Paula Jones Oliver), Priscilla Campbell(Dermoth Channer), Judith Campbell (Roosevelt Geffrard), and Natasha Lee (Stefan Marston); Step-daughter Nicola Lee; grandchildren, Annissa, Jonisha, Alisha, and Johnathan Lee, Shanatoy, Krayous, and Abraham Oliver, Anniah and Adrian Channer, Samarah, Josiah, and Jeremiah Geffrard; Great-grandchildren, Anastasia, Amaya, and Ava Van Buren, Nova Lee; Step-grandchildren, Anthony and Latoya Richards, Jamar Mighty; Siblings, Winston Lewis, Daphne Lewis-Boothe, Amy Lewis, Dorette Lewis-Gale, Athna Lewis, Marva Lewis-Gordon, Aaron Lewis, Jeffrey Lewis, Annette Lewis-Ebanks, and Aldin (Brian) Lewis, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
