When Ernie retired from Monsanto in September of 1989, he bade farewell to New England winters to enjoy the warmth of Florida. As an avid sports fan (Notre Dame football, New England Patriots, Bruins hockey), he delighted in the entry to the NHL of the Florida Panthers and switched his allegiance from the Bruins to the Panthers.
Ernie will be remembered for his quiet demeanor and his subtle humor. He may have been a man of few words, but he was an astute observer of people and the human condition.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.forestlawnnorth.com for the Bourgeois family.
