I have fond memories of your dad, and always think of him picking you up from  Connecticut Farms grammar school in his snazzy Porsche!  I seem to remember he even squeezed me in with you both once or twice when I needed a ride!... I have always admired his business sense and the legacy that he created for you and the family...  And, I'm so glad Carl and I got to see him, and you, when you were passing through LA on your way to China.
That was such a fun dinner, and your dad was so jovial and hospitable.  Such a wonderful guy!  We send our love to you and the family, and your dad will never be forgotten...  Love, Nadia (and Carl) Smelser

Pam and I are so sorry to hear about the passing of your Dad.  Ed was a great man and I enjoyed working with him.  He will be missed but never forgotten in the hearts of the people that knew him.
Please forgive me for not attending his funerial...If I knew I definately would have been there.  God Bless!

My heart is full of sadness to hear that the world has lost Mr. B!  Truly, the end of an era.  Your father was a remarkable man and I continue to be grateful for the time I had with him and the gang at EBway.  Many times over the years I have recognized the influence he has had on my life.  Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers.

With Uncle Edwards passing, I'm reminded of how similar he was to my own father. Uncle Edward loved to laugh, he got a kick out of his brothers and shared a positive attitude. These traits of 5 close brothers, all growing up in very close quarters must have been mandatory for survival and perhaps the most basic roots of his success. But Uncle Edward was different in that he had an innate wisdom about him.  I spent a week with Edward and Heidi was I was a teenager. 2 things I'll never forget from that trip were being introduced to barracuda while snorkeling and the tour that Uncle Edward gave me of EBWAY. The tour included all the machines he invented, the products he manufactured, the people he had working for him and his patents. I was impressed so much so that I still talk about it.  I knew where my dad and his brothers came from and had heard the stories.  I'm sure he paved the way for any success my dad earned.
I also remember as proud as he was of his patents and the business he built, he was prouder of his little girl. And then of his grandsons. The last few times we saw each other he only spoke lovingly of his family with an aged wisdom.

Earth will be missing a great man, leader and business man as an employee for 20 years for Ebway llc. I will miss my friend.

Ed hired me in his tool room in the year 1999. Over 16 years able to work with a true Captain. There was times of fun & times of mistakes.Still i remember one occasion,he told me "anybody can make mistakes that's why pencils have erasers".What I have to say about him, only this -::SOME BORN GREAT, SOME ACHIEVE GREATNESS THRUST UPON THEM:::That's  Ed

In memory of a man greatly loved by his family and friends. Rest in peace, you've earned it.

Edward was my big brother, the oldest of five boys from the family of Edward and Mary Bennett. We grew up in a two bedroom, one bathroom, row home in Bridgeport, Ct.  Mom and Dad shared one bedroom, the five boys shared the other.  We all shared the one bathroom.  How we managed that, I'll never know.  Yet, we did and it never felt crowded.
Edward was the first to leave, heading off to the Army to become a paratrooper during the Korean war.
I was too young to remember much of that but, I do remember that when he returned, he worked hard to become successful.  He had an idea and a dream and he pursued it.  He had great initiative and nothing was going to get in his way.  Well, as it turned out, he became the success he had envisioned.  And, along the way, he made Mom and Dad so incredibly proud!
His younger brothers idolized him.  What a role model he had become.  We all, to some degree or another, wanted to emulate him.  He was always interested in what we were doing and always there to give advice, whether we wanted it or not!  
He was great mentor to me and through the years, even though we were separated by miles, I always enjoyed talking to and spending time with him.  He and I shared a special bond, a special connection.  He was my big brother.
Rest in Peace, dear brother.  I love you and will miss you.

Uncle Edward was always larger than life, in countless ways.  His grand presence, bright smile and booming laugh is something that remains unforgettable.  We can't soothe your pain with words or deeds, but we offer reassurance that with the love and support from family and friends, you will rise from the depths of this loss & despair. Hold onto the great memories for comfort, lean on each other, family and friends for strength and always remember how much you are loved and cared about.  As you grieve, please know that so many of us are thinking of you all and honoring his memory.   Death is not the end because they walk with us everyday, as our own personal Angels.  Find solace in the fact that he is free from the limitations of this World and is now reunited with his Mother, Father and Brothers.

I was hired by Mr. Bennett at Ebway where I worked with him and his family. I learned a great deal about the business and the technology of GripFlow. Mr. Bennett was a very good boss and I enjoyed my time there. I will always appreciate the knowledge gained from him and his daughter about the business and the opportunity to have known him.

Ed hired me as his Facilities Manager over 20 years ago and in those 20 plus years I have grown to respect and appreciate him not as just a great boss to work for but as a very good friend. I will miss him dearly.

Immer sind irgendwo Spuren seines Lebens:Gedanken, Bilder, Augenblicke, Gefühle und Dankbarkeit. Sie werden uns immer an ihn erinnern und ihn uns nie vergessen lassen.

Wir haben viel mit Edward erleben dürfen und viel mit ihm gelacht.
