Edith Wilma Jones

Edith Wilma Jones. Deerfield Beach, FL. Formerly of Portland, TN and Indianapolis, IN. Wilma passed peacefully on June 15, 2021. She lived in Deerfield Beach, FL for several years with her son Mark Andrew and his wife Diane. Wilma lived for many years in Portland, TN her birthplace with three of her sisters.

Wilma and her husband Norman raised their family in Indianapolis, IN where she also worked for many years for FMC Corp. and Rexnord Corp. In addition to being a hard-working and productive employee, Wilma studied her union contract and was a knowledgeable resource for her fellow employees. Wilma was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend and will be greatly missed. She went above and beyond to provide for here family.

She is survived by her sons Jack (Toni) and Mark Andrew (Diane), her loving grandsons who she adored, Chris (Carrie), Jeff (Rachel), Drew (Sheema) and Ian (Elizabeth), eight beautiful great-grandchildren, her sister Velma Dillard, and many nieces who were like daughters to her. Wilma's husband Norman predeceased her.

The family is grateful to Wilma's friend Melody who lovingly helped care for her for many years and to the people of Trustbridge Hospice and the Center for Active Aging.

A private service will be held in Portland, TN. The family requests no flowers.
